I wanted to experiment with abstraction, impressionism, and a throwback to Van Gogh’s brushwork. Painted in the middle of winter, this piece makes me excited for the re-emergence of spring.
I combined atmospheric and abstract elements and spontaneity as well as the gorgeous and lush impasto. This was so fun to paint and I hope you enjoy it as well!
